This is a boring test but fun to find out what house the sorting hat would put you into. I am...

Mother Daughter moment.
So this morning McKenna was watching a cartoon called "go Diego go" and at the end they ask questions and wait so you can answer, then they fill in the picture of whatever animal they are learning about that day. So the first question McKenna didn't answer so I said the answer and McKenna turned to me and said, "good job Mommy." Then she answered the next one and I said, "good job McKenna." I guess daughter like mother.

Happy Official Birthday Lily!
We finally decided to post the pictures from when we celebrated Lily's birthday with friends in Williamsburg. She did pretty good with the cup cake dive. First she started out pretty timid then as the pictures tell the story she wasn't shy with it anymore. Please Please no pictures!
Oh mom! You didn't tell me you were going to put sprinkles on this. Let me just use my hands and get this off.

Gettysburg
We finally made it to Gettysburg. We have been talking about going forever. Now we have seen it. Well as much a we could with two tired and hungry girls. It was during the week too so they weren't doing the reenactments. Rows of graves in national cemetery
more grave markers but these were just numbers instead of names.

A tribute to our South Carolina friends Josh and Brad. We saw this and knew that you would have been said if we would have just walked past.

Hershey, PA
Happy Birthday Lily! Yes we felt bad that we couldn't celebrate Lily's birthday properly, but we did go to Hershey Park and Chocolate World. One is a theme park and the other is tour of the Hershey chocolate (not the real one) factory. And what better way to spend your birthday then eating chocolate. We had so much fun and couldn't believe all that the girls wanted to do. Here is Lily showing off her walking skills. Mad skills!
Matt and McKenna on the last ride of the day, I love the blown away look of McKenna's hair.

McKenna loved this ride, I couldn't believe it because I thought it was pretty fast for her age.
Here is the infamous Hershey Kiss, McKenna wouldn't stop talking about it when we saw the statue on the top of the chocolate world building and then we finally saw it and she didn't want anything to do with the Kiss. I just wanted one pictures and she cried. So it was a solo photo shoot for the Kiss!
Another good story. We heard that they put in a new water park part to Hershey Park and brought our swim suits so we could go swim. But Matt didn't think he would get wet so McKenna and I put on our suits while Matt watched Lily as she slept in the stroller. After McKenna and I did our first trip out she wanted daddy to come out and he tried not get wet but alas he failed. His comment was that, "some other kid got me wet."
Yes I am soaked but I had my swim suit on under my shirt!
Notice how big Lily's diaper is. I had her in the water for just a second after she woke up and she loved it, but I didn't take the time to put on a little swimmer, poor decision on my part.
In Hershey Park you could go to a zoo called Zoo America. It is a zoo of all north American animals so there wasn't anything special, but McKenna really liked the bear. We went into the room where the water is and all I could see was some really big catfish, so of course I said McKenna come over here and see the fish, she was trying to get me to come over to a different part of the water tank to see something. Then finally I looked and there was the bear. Smart girl probably thought come on mom get it together we wanted to see the bear not giant catfish.

Banana Split!
So on our way back to Virginia we decided that it would be fun to stop in Philly and visit our friends the Drake's again. We love them and our kids play so well together. For lunch we stopped at a Stewart's dinner. It was a seasonal place and it was the company that makes Stewart's Root beer and orange cream soda. The food was okay, but the soda was good.
One Last Hoorah!
So we decided that we would finally visit the Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge, MA before we left for Virginia. We had fun even though it was raining. McKenna even got to feed some ducks. After I went back to the van with Lily I guess the ducks came up on the shore and really wanted the graham crackers we were feeding them and nibbled on McKenna's finger. She didn't cry until she told me about it, and now she can't stop talking about it. She thought it was funny that the ducks nibbled daddy's fingers too.

Death by running?
So of course I was so excited about my first real race. I entered the 5K in New Bedford, MA. Not knowing that it was going to be 100 degrees in the sun. Lucky for us they set up some water stands through out the race. I seriously thought my face was going to explode. Other then that it was fun. I loved being there and running with all those people. Oh and a free shirt and Portuguese food too.

Fountain Fun
The Cambridge girls and I had our last fun outing with the kids. We went to this beautiful fountain right across from where Matt works. It's a fun place for kids to run and play. We had a fun time together and most of us got wet. Some weather they really planned on it or not, sorry Julie (but you have to admit it was pretty funny how the water got turned down right when you walked under it).

Franklin Zoo
Zoo trip! Yeah! The girls were so excited and so was I. I love the look on their faces when they see something new or fun. Yes that is a camels bum in that background of the picture. And McKenna was worried about something on her hand. I told her it was nothing (secretly worried that it might be camel poo), then told her to wipe it on her pants. All was better after that. This is one of my favorite pictures. Mainly because the big Gorilla's name was KiKi and that is what we call one of my really good friends that use to always act like a monkey. Just kidding! And the girls look really cute in this picture. Not to mention that McKenna is a silly goose and didn't want to touch the monkey so she was holding her hands in so she didn't touch it at all.
