What we did to celebrate

We decided to re-enact two of first three dates. So we went to the batting cages because that was the first date I took MD on and to Dairy Queen for dessert because that was the first date MD took me on. Oh and we used my new Kitchen Aid and made Sticky Buns, Yum!

I managed to stink it up pretty bad and came away with a good blister to prove we were there.
MD did about he same and has the same blister to prove it oh and not to mention all the sore muscles we have now. Man we are getting old.

Dinner, Yum!
and dessert with the girls
after eating our big desserts we both decided that we probably would have been better off just having a dilly bar like MJ. Cute girl had the ice cream running down her arm the whole time.

To us on our 5th!

Happy Anniversary to us! We celebrated our 5th and just wanted to look back and see some of what we have done. Have fun remembering with us...
Okay so minus the scanner not being hooked up, this idea of taking a picture of the picture didn't do to bad.
We had MJ in Utah while at BYU. MD ran a few races and decided that a marathon would be the next step

MD graduated from BYU and now we were headed off to Virginia for Law SchoolI attempted to run a 5K, okay so I made it but I still think my face was going to explode it was so hot.

We have had a few really fun vacations, Gettysburg

Hershey, PA

Disney World

We had LL in Virginia and our family keeps growing

MD ran his Marathon in Virginia and actually liked it

I got to coach a great group of girls in Volleyball in Virginia

MD graduated from Law School
And he got a job in Boston, YEAH! What a fun 5 years and here's to many many more. MD was wonderful and got me some flowers and ...
yes that's right a Kitchen Aid, oh and I love it! I have found every excuse to make some fun stuff, I don't think he's complaining either.

I got MD a membership to Barnes and Noble and a new book, his dream! He loves to read and loves books, but he wouldn't pose with his gift, party pooper.

Fun Park and Feeding Birds

We took a family trip out to a fun park the other night to feed the birds and explore the tide pools.

Little did we know that LL has a different idea of feeding birds (check the video).

I loved that MD walked down to the beach a head of us and just stood there taking in the view, he loves being outside.

Apple Pie

Yum... Well for most people. I have a confession about apple pie. I love to make it but I can't eat it, I hate cooked apples. But yes I am american and I did grow up in Washington State too. Crazy I know. But I thought I'd tease some friends and let you know if you come visit us we'll make you one too.

Crazy Hair

I've decided that one fun things about having girls is their crazy hair. Now I'm sure boys have some crazy hair, but our girls either wake up with the funniest hair or after they have pigtails or ponytails come out with some great hair styles. Here are some prime examples. And if you want to see more fun pictures just click here.LL just after waking up
MJ after pigtails have been removed.

Exploring Parks...Part 2

This was an okay park but it was pretty old and run down and as you can see we were the only one's there.
You can see how well this probably went over, LL screamed as soon as MJ grabbed the handle to help her move the digger.

So this park does win the award for oldest functioning swings I have ever seen

Halibut Point State Park

This was a fun weekend outing for a ward activity to Halibut Point State Park. There were only three couples, but it was still fun.
So this park was a rock quarry and in this picture if you look out past the water to the land in the far background that is New Hampshire and even a part of Maine can be seen on a clear day.
The rock quarry has been filled in with water, but you can still see the blast lines and cuts they made.

LL finding her favorite tide pool
she spent a lot of time here, it was loaded with snails and she loved it.

another exploration to Rockport, MA, it's so pretty and the state park was in Rockport so why not?
