All my bags are packed...

We are all packed and ready to go home for Christmas. Please pray for us and that our kids will be good on the plane. We can't wait to come see our family and friends back West!

Christmas traditions?

So we went over to our friends house last night to make some gingerbread houses out of graham crackers. It was a lot of fun. We ended up having to make them for the kids because all they wanted to do was eat the candy and not wait for the icing to dry, but we all had fun. It started off with little Andrew choking on a candy and getting sick all over himself, but luck for all of us we hadn't started making anything yet. Here is Julie cleaning up after Andrew, Sorry Julie I know that you guys really would have been disappointed if this part didn't make it on here, so here you go.
Claire eating some candy before we started.
Julie letting Andrew and Claire decorate the roof.
Matt supervising construction on the house, oh and helping Lily eat the candy.
McKenna and Claire being cute.
Me in my nasty t-shirt waiting for the roof to fall off the house.
Julie's finished product.
Our girls thought they try and take some credit for the house. They are so cute, who could say no.
Our finished product, maybe I should let them take the credit. It looks like they made it anyways.

Merry Early Christmas

We decided to have an early Christmas because we are going out of town for Christmas. So the girls were really excited the other night when they came out of their room and saw all the presents under the tree. Here are some fun pictures of the event.
McKenna unwrapping the girls animal toys.
Lily unwrapping her new book
And wasting no time to start reading the new book.
They both love their strollers. I am so glad that we decided to get them each one. Wow they would have been fighting over just one every second of the day. Cute girls.
McKenna lining up the animals to get them inside the gates.
Lily making sure bear is buckled in before pushing him/her around. We still don't know weather the bear is a he or she. We'll let her decide when she's older.
And of course a little fun with unwrapping had to be caught on video. Enjoy!

New reading material

Here is Lily's new favorite book to read. I think she's more like Matt each day. I laugh every time she comes walking out with the Pocket Dictionary in her hand. Maybe I can learn some new words too.

Thank you Grandma Pam

Thank you so much Grandma Pam. Lily loves her new quilt. McKenna really likes it too. She just wanted to wrap up in it and take a nap. I got such a kick out of these two playing on it I had to put some pictures of them.

Baby's Baby's everywhere!

Okay just a side note, okay not a side note but a great post. I have been finding out left and right that my friends are pregnant. Yeah for them! No this is not an announcement. But I just found out that our friends Olivia and Eric are expecting. Congrats you guys. I can't wait to see the little one running around. Oh and then Leah and Ryan, Evellyn and Chris and anyone else that hasn't told us yet. Congrats to all and we love new little babies!

Mess Monster Revisited

Okay so I should know better by now that every time I give them any kind of Red Sauce pasta that it makes a mess. But again they just love it so much. Now I should have taken their shirts off at least. Oh well, too late now!

What a monster
Oh look at that messy face.
Yes it's straight to the bath!
And here is a video treat of how they like to eat their pasta. Enjoy!

Curiosity tends to get the better of me, sometimes.

I love the map on my blog but sometimes it brings up towns that I grew up around and I just wounder who is looking at my blog from there. I volunteer coached in a town by the University of Idaho called Troy, ID. I met a lot of great people there and someone keeps coming up from Troy and I am so curious to know who it is. So if you want leave me a comment telling me who you are. Please! If not keep reading I love seeing the different places of people reading my crazy everyday thoughts.

Finished Quilt and more

So this is a quilt I just finished. McKenna decided that she really wanted to wrap up in it and take a nap, but I took a picture like a good mom and then told her nicely to get out. Cute girl! Quilt finished today.
Lily screamed until I put here pink zebra pj's on. She didn't care what else she was wearing, she really likes these pj's and I have to hide them from her so she doesn't ask to wear them all the time.
Hugging girls.
Silly Lily, she decided to sit in this box tonight and eat her bottle.

Don't worry Lily is okay and still running around like crazy.

Celebration of Lights

So we went to Newport News, VA to drive through the 100 miles of lights at the Celebration of Lights. We all really enjoyed it. McKenna thought it was great too, so really wanted to go back through after we were finished. We told her that it was great but not worth another $10 to see all of it again. Here are some highlights. Okay not highlights but the pictures that I could get to turn out. This one if for mom and the Mogul Mashing Mamma's. That is a mountain and skier in the middle of the picture. Sorry not a very good one.
And I like to call this one Nessy!
Train stop!
Here is a train that ran over the road. McKenna liked it when they moved over us. She just giggled and would say look out daddy.
And of course the Jamestown ships!
And one of the worse pictures but favorite one for McKenna, is Santa waving goodbye to us as we drive away.

My Girls!

Great vacation, but great to be home!

We took a nice long trip to Raleigh, NC for Thanksgiving. Okay so it wasn't long but it was nice. We had a lot of fun. I am so bummed that I didn't take very many pictures. True to form in our family we all got a cold on our vacations and were all drugged up most of the time. Feeling better now and looking forward to our comfy beds. Thanks to Jill and Troy for hosting us and letting us crash your Thanksgiving party, oh and Happy 1st Birthday Marissa! And thank you to Collette for letting us take your room for the time we were there.

Thanksgiving Dinner!

Oh and don't forget the bath time pictures. Upon arriving home we had a party for the BYU/Utah football game. Go Cougs! It was a good one to watch and thank goodness BYU pulled it off in the last seconds of the game. Now we are ready for bed!
