Rain or 10K?

Why not both! So I ran in the Richmond Monument 10K race this morning. It rained the whole time, well all up until we got back to our car after the race. I was just glad that it was pretty warm outside or it would have been the worst race ever. I did good and had fun. I have never seen so many people in one place for a race. 30,000 people enter this race each year. The best part is watching someone that is dressed up run by (okay not really fun watching them in an uncomfortable costume and still beating you). The best one I saw was a group of ladies in aerobics clothes old school ones and leg warmers with a guy dressed like Richard Simmons.and as you can see the girls had a blast too. Our long walk back to the car must have been the topper. They were both out cold. Cute tired girls.

They Lived in a Tent

Thanks to my friend Terra we had a great Family Home Evening on Monday night. We had seen on our friends blog that they tried this and their kids loved it so we tried it and our kids loved it to. Just make sure that a tent will fit in your front room. We taught our girls about a story from the Book of Mormon. Lehi and his wife being commanded to leave Jerusalem and to live in a tent in the wilderness. Well, the girls loved it and MJ actually understood the lesson. It was a lot of fun and probably the closest thing to camping we are going to get until MD has finished his Bar exam.

Happy Birthday Sage!

Happy Birthday to Baby Sage! Sorry we missed it, we miss and love you! My brother and sister-in-laws little girl turned 1 a few days ago. I look forward to seeing the cake video. Rumor has it that she touched the cake for a taste then decided not to waste any time and went head first into her cake. Cute Girl!

2nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Wow I can't believe it was time to have our annual Easter Egg Hunt again. Time flies when you are having fun. Here are some fun pictures that I was able to get during the fun hunt. Enjoy!They look so innocent don't they.

Now here comes the true story. They were having fun picking on MD, but he started it with the pine cones so I guess he deserved it.

All the kids were so good, and did such a great job with finding the eggs. I'm sad that we are going to be leaving and won't be able to do this again next year.

But here's to all the sugar rushes our kids suffered over this Easter.

Easter Dresses and loot

Happy Easter! Our girls had a blast with all of their friends and the Easter Egg Hunt which pictures will be posted soon, but here is Easter morning before church. I wanted to capture them in their dresses and ready to go.

I have been thinking lately of how MJ and LL have become really good friends. And how they love to play together. Thanks to my friend Nicole's post the other day I have been inspired to share some of their captured moments with you. I can't believe how fast they grown up.

Thank you yet again grandma P. I don't know what it is about the outfits you make for the girls, but every time they see them they want to wear them. LL just now fits into this jumper and going through pictures for a fun post (coming in the near future) I found the picture of MJ wearing the same outfit. Thank you mom!

Easter Preparation

In preparation for our second annual Easter egg hunt MJ and I decided to get all the eggs out and stuff them and get them ready for hiding. MJ thought that having eggs dumped on her was fun so I thought it would make for some cute pictures. Enjoy!

Arabian Nights

MD and I were fortunate enough to have my mom come with us to Orlando and that allowed us to go on a date one night. We had gotten a free ticket to the Arabian Nights show so we bought another one and went. The story was more for kids, but the horse tricks during scene and wardrobe change were amazing. It was worth the money just to see some of these tricks. These guys came out with their horses at a full blown run. Crazy! Now all the rest of the pictures keep in mind that these horses are moving at a steady pace around in a circle. Juggling on the horse.

The bottom guy is using the horse like a Pommel Horse in gymnastics, while the other guy is jumping over his legs each time he swings around.

These next two are of a guy doing a back flip on the horses back. He didn't land the first one so he had to do it twice so I got two pictures.

And how could we go to a horse show with out some Chariot racing.

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

Disney World was so much fun. We took 5 days to have fun down in Orlando, FL. We went to the Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom and Downtown Disney to name a few things we did. MD and I even had a date to the Arabian Nights show thanks to Grandma P who joined us on our fun vacation.
So this was a wonderful place the Grandma P was dieing to take the girls too. Your fairy god mother put makeup on and did their hair like a princess. It was fun to see MJ get all dolled up, and yes I just said that was fun.

Oh and Nichole T. I think Alivia would have a blast, but be prepared to see all the shows/parades and not ride rides. I think that made the difference for our girls having so much fun. We had friends that told us that before we went and we enjoyed it so much more knowing that.

Disney World
