Family Gathering

We had so much fun with my side of the family. We enjoyed pictures, food, and pinatas. The kids had fun playing together. I think my favorite part had to be that it was held in my Aunt and Uncle's house which use to be my Great Grandpa John's home. It brings back great memories going back there. Here is the train corner. My Great Grandpa use to have a train track set up in the basement that almost filled the whole basement. So this it was fun to see a small part of that put back up.

Fairy Tale Princess tea party

My mom set up a fun event while we were all home. We attended a Tea Party with the Fairy Tale Princess and the Nutcracker. It was for kids ages 3 and up so Lily wasn't able to come but McKenna had a blast. It's always fun having a ladies outing around Christmas/ New Year's time. Here is the Fairy Tale Princess reading a story for the kids.

Tyson and Trevin didn't really want their pictures taken. I guess having documented evidence of them being at a tea party was upsetting to them. Just Kidding!
McKenna enjoyed her cup of hot chocolate instead of tea and I enjoyed my lemonade, but after watching her have her hot chocolate I started to think I should have gotten that. But isn't that always the case. We want what others have.

So we also got to celebrate Carrie's birthday while we were there. Sorry Carrie I had to put this picture in.
and McKenna had to have a turn to wear it...and so did my mom.

So when we decided to go to Washington for Christmas. Grandpa Ernie decided that McKenna needed to come with him and feed cows one morning. Once McKenna heard that she started to tell us that every cow she saw was Grandpa Ernie's cow and that she was going to help feed them. I think this is where McKenna is instructing Grandpa on which ones to feed to which cows.

Here is our lovely tractor and all it's glory.

True to form it almost died about 5 times and ran out of gas another time.

But still gets the job done.

We are finally home, but while we were gone...

We had a wonderful break. We have a two week adventure out to Washington State and then down to Idaho. To start we flew out from DC at 6:30am. Arrived in Idaho then drove through the Blue Mts. up to Washington. And yes it was a long first day, but we figured make it one day instead of two days back to back. The girls were great. Here is a touch of the fun we had. Enjoy! Not Christmas yet! The tree needed to be decorated.
McKenna and I went out with Grandpa Ernie to feed cows. Oh and don't worry there will be more pictures of this later.
