Unanswered Questions

Thanks to Kelli P. I just remembered that I had asked if anyone knew what these two pictures were. Well, here are the answers. And for any of you Idahoans you should have known the yellow one. Okay maybe not because I had never heard of it either and I'm pretty much from there. This one is an old horse drawn manure spreader. They actually used it a few years ago after the fair in town. I know that was probably gross info.
And this is a horse drawn potato digger/farmer I'm not sure of the correct term for it.

Catching Up Part 2

The other day we took a family walk through W&M's main campus. It was fun seeing things that I didn't even know were there. You'd think after 3 years you'd at least know about stuff around town. Enjoy! And click here for more pictures.
The girls have loved finding all the flower gardens in town.
a new bridge in the middle of campus, that has some legend on campus about if you are a freshman and walk over it you will get married that year, or something like that.

Singing Star

When I went home I copied some pictures the my mom took at Disney World and along with it this funny video of LL sining in the car.

Balloons

So I always wondered what happened to balloons when you let them go in the air and watch them float away. Or in our case more times then not, watch the girls cry because the balloon escaped. Well, here is the answer they land in some random farmers field in Eastern Washington State and just sit there for about 5 years before anyone sees them or throws them away. Or in our case by the creek next to my dad's field.

A 5 day trip with out the kids?

Yes that is what happened. I didn't drop off the face of the earth like some may have though. I made a quick trip home for my Uncle Bud's funeral and since it was a quick trip I didn't take the girls. It was a great trip and I honestly didn't know how to act with out my girls with me. Enjoy the pictures and click here to see more pictures.
What a great welcome home it was when my dad called and said that we had to got get some cows in. They had gotten out through some broken fence. And yes I was chasing the cows back in with my camera in hand. Why not!
Here is Sage riding the tractor. She served as my baby substitute since mine stayed home in VA.
Go Sage Go!
Isn't it funny what you find when you visit home. I found my old Pink Schwinn bike, and I think it has been there since the last time I rode in like in Jr. High. Don't look too close you can see the spider webs.

Sage helping dad get the fence fixed. Oh and happy 30th old man!
Sage and Trevin crawling in the grass after the funeral lunch.
My cousin Brandy and her cute little one Karly.
Grandma don't hide!
Sage loved having Kyle throw her into the air.
Okay now here's the test can anyone tell me what this is? I went to a tractor museum that just opened in my home town while I was home.
Questions number two, what is this one?
Mom you are such a good sport. Thanks!

Rain or 10K?

Why not both! So I ran in the Richmond Monument 10K race this morning. It rained the whole time, well all up until we got back to our car after the race. I was just glad that it was pretty warm outside or it would have been the worst race ever. I did good and had fun. I have never seen so many people in one place for a race. 30,000 people enter this race each year. The best part is watching someone that is dressed up run by (okay not really fun watching them in an uncomfortable costume and still beating you). The best one I saw was a group of ladies in aerobics clothes old school ones and leg warmers with a guy dressed like Richard Simmons.and as you can see the girls had a blast too. Our long walk back to the car must have been the topper. They were both out cold. Cute tired girls.

They Lived in a Tent

Thanks to my friend Terra we had a great Family Home Evening on Monday night. We had seen on our friends blog that they tried this and their kids loved it so we tried it and our kids loved it to. Just make sure that a tent will fit in your front room. We taught our girls about a story from the Book of Mormon. Lehi and his wife being commanded to leave Jerusalem and to live in a tent in the wilderness. Well, the girls loved it and MJ actually understood the lesson. It was a lot of fun and probably the closest thing to camping we are going to get until MD has finished his Bar exam.
