My Girls!

Great vacation, but great to be home!

We took a nice long trip to Raleigh, NC for Thanksgiving. Okay so it wasn't long but it was nice. We had a lot of fun. I am so bummed that I didn't take very many pictures. True to form in our family we all got a cold on our vacations and were all drugged up most of the time. Feeling better now and looking forward to our comfy beds. Thanks to Jill and Troy for hosting us and letting us crash your Thanksgiving party, oh and Happy 1st Birthday Marissa! And thank you to Collette for letting us take your room for the time we were there.

Oh and don't forget the bath time pictures. Upon arriving home we had a party for the BYU/Utah football game. Go Cougs! It was a good one to watch and thank goodness BYU pulled it off in the last seconds of the game. Now we are ready for bed!

How old are sea turtles?

So Leah and I took our kids to the Virginia Living Museum Wednesday. We all had a lot of fun. Yes I did crawl into the turtle, but only so the kids could see that it was okay to get into it. After I got out they all wanted to get in.
Jack the turtle.
McKenna the turtle.
What is this? A two headed turtle.
Jack in log tunnel.
Lily watching otter swim to the glass.

My Hero!

Matt and Zach ran in the Richmond, VA Marathon today. After 26.2 miles they are still alive and doing well. Good job guys.
Here is how Terra and I traveled from one party zone to the next. The kids did great, and I am grateful that McKenna was good with holding Rachel on her lap.

Here's the other stroller. Oh and they were so good, especially in these pictures because this was our first stop at mile 7.

Here is a chipper picture of Matt at mile 7.

Here is the back of Zach, we said he was so fast that we could only get the back of him (he's in the black shorts and white shirt.

Here is a blurry picture of Matt at mile 26. He's not so chipper but still running, which was a good sign. Sorry Zach we didn't get a picture of you running.

McKenna was so excited for her Daddy to be running in a race. Here's the sign we made and held up for Matt at the end of the race.

Here are the two guys after all was said and done. And the are still smiling! Good Job Guys!

It's no Philly Cheese Steak but it'll have to do!

Our friends Terra and Zach and their three kids came down from Philly to visit us in Williamsburg. They couldn't have come at a better time of year. All the leaves are finally turned to their beautiful colors before they fall off the trees and the weather is perfect sweatshirt/jeans weather. We survived the first night of sleeping in the same room as our kids then woke up and went walking with some ladies here. After that it was tourist time, we walked Duke of Gloucester street to see all the cute buildings. Of course we took them to a few of our favorite places like the Peanut shop and The Cheese Shop. Now to prepare for tomorrow and the big Marathon. Matt and Zach are running in the Richmond Marathon. Good luck Guys!

Terra and Zach in the shackles. Now the kids turn. Should we leave them there? Just kidding they were too cute! The kids were pretty worried about these dogs. Matt made a funny comment as this couple and their gigantic dogs walked by. He said "Hide the children" and the lady said oh don't worry they just ate. Good times!Stroller fun. McKenna and Spencer looking at the sheep. Anna and Rachel looking at the sheep. And if you look close enough Anna has a cookie hanging out of her mouth, cute girl. Rachel and her cute hair. It was naked pasta night. Okay just pasta night but all the kids had to take off their shirts so we didn't have to use all the stain spray on their shirts. This the closest Spencer came to letting me take a picture of him. He was probably the only one appropriately dressed. Right? Story time after bathes. And of course singing. Sorry Terra this picture didn't turn out so well, but I still thought it was cute.
