cupboard fun

Just recently our girls have been obsessed with playing in the cupboards, not just with the stuff in side, but actually sitting in them. Here are few of my favorite pictures of them playing in them. Oh and a video that is great. I love the ending of it!Silly Lily playing peek-a-boo

I tricked McKenna into looking out in this picture.

Lily was getting so frustrated with me, because I kept opening the door to get pictures of them playing in the cupboards.

Here's the clip I promised and also a part for Grandma Pam in here. I told her I would tape McKenna singing her ABC's so she sang them in the cupboard. Enjoy!

Pumpkin Carving

We decided for our Family Home Evening activity to carve our pumpkins. McKenna was so excited about this all day long. She wanted to wear her Halloween socks all day to get ready. And tomorrow she is so excited to wear her "Kunk" outfit, or skunk as we might call it. So as normal for our kids when we know they are going to get dirty we get down to underwear and diapers. Well, the girls do anyways. So sorry about the underwear pictures of McKenna. But we had a ton of fun and now the pumpkins are outside ready for Halloween. Here McKenna is taking her turn scooping out the gross stuff inside the pumpkin, Matt and McKenna took turns so we wouldn't be up all night waiting for her to finish scooping it out.
I had to put this picture because you can see that even in her underwear she didn't want to take off her Halloween socks. Cute girl!
More carving fun
Good job dad!
Here's McKenna's pumpkin all carved and ready to go.
As you can see Lily had fun organizing all the goop on the table.
Now Lily helps mom scoop some out of her pumpkin. Okay and a word to the wise if you plan on carving a pumpkin try not to pick the green one's because they look cute with some green, or at least makes sure to have some serious time on your hands. It took forever.
Our finished product. Oh and Matt's pumpkin is the BYU "Y" and mine says Boston.
How hansom is he?!

Sad to say Goodbye!

So here is the JV Volleyball team that I helped coach this year. Yesterday was our last game. I'm sad to have to say good bye to them. I had so much fun and they are good group of girls and athlete's. I learned so much more about coaching, and especially about coaching HS girls. Lafayette H.S. JV Team 2007

Silly Girls

They girls were being pretty silly the other day so I took a couple pictures to share. Nothing big just playing in the cupboards and raking leaves with mom. Lily being cute and innocent, for now. Go Boise State! I know her socks really don't go, but we like the broncos in our family, what can I say!
Now it's sassy Lily time.
Child Labor Laws? Just kidding, we really had fun playing in the leaves. It was fun until we cleaned up, then McKenna decided she didn't want to help anymore.

Welcome Landen! and Hudson!

Landen Scott Purcell born Wednesday October 17th. We love showing pictures of our cute Nephews and nieces on here so here is a glimpse at just a couple. We miss and love you guys. Oh and Landen belongs to Nate and Deborah. 9lbs 3oz 23 inches long
Deborah you look great, and I can't believe how big Dallin and Issac have gotten. Here is Hudson Lionel. Sorry Hudson that I am so late with this, he is much bigger now, but still cute as can be. He belongs to Matt's brother Brandon and his wife JaNell.

Here are their three kids. Gracee, Jamison and now Hudson. Cute kids! We miss you guys and can't wait to see the whole family this summer.

Looking Back

McKenna and I were playing outside in the leaves again and I thought, when did my baby grow up. I can't believe how big she is and especially how grown up she is. Here are a few pictures I had to come back in a look at after that. I found a bunch that the girls are doing the same things at about the same ages. Here is McKenna in the hospital all stretched out.Lily in the hospital not screaming, just sitting still and sleeping, wow!McKenna in the sink bath!

Watching football at the Hansen's

So we spent the afternoon/evening over with our friends the Hansen's watching football and enjoying HOT Wings! I brought my camera, I know surprise surprise, and captured some fun pictures while we were there. This was Lily's favorite hang out all evening. She wouldn't stay out of the cooler. She loved the ice and water. Then she started to throw the soda's back in to the cooler, sorry Hansen's for whoever opens those.
BRRRRRRRRR!

Now she's upset because her hands were cold but she wanted to put them back in the water and play some more.
The Hansen's just had a new baby girl named Charlotte LaRue (sp). This is their oldest daughter Madeline holding her. I couldn't get them to both smile for me.
But here is a good look from Charlotte.

Charlotte's web

While we were playing in the back yard McKenna found a friend. I wasn't to fond of it but it made for a good video clip right.

Leaf jumping and more!

So Mom decided to rake up all the leaves in our back yard and let the girls play in them. Okay so it wasn't just leaves. Some pine needles and pine cones are mixed in. I had decided to get some cute pictures of the two together playing in the leaves to put up in the house. Okay that takes talent which I don't possess because they first off wouldn't look at me and smile at the same time (no surprise) then Lily really didn't want to be sitting in the leaves she as you can tell in the pictures below doesn't like poking and sitting still. smile girls, say cheese, please oh please just look at mom!
okay so this is cute, but not smiling and not looking at me, again

then started the throwing of the leaves
what a big girl we have, she looks so grown up in this picture, and she looked at me and smiled at the same time. Rare, very rare!
this got their attention, but only one picture!
more leaf fun
wow what eyes!

I have to say that I love how she jumps in the leaves but my favorite part is how she gets ready to jump into the leaves.

Stickers, Silly Girls and D.C Temple Trip

Since we had fun this last week with different stuff, why not put it all in one post, Right? So enjoy! Stickers, who's stickers?
Are they Mamma's?

or Lily's?
Nope they must be McKenna's!
Crazy Construction girl.
This is one of Lily's favorite spots in the house. She gets in the box with all the puzzle stuff then decides that she doesn't want the puzzle stuff in there so she throws everything out all over the room to make room for herself in the box.
Thanks for the cute outfit Grandma Pam. I love to wear it.
McKenna trying to be quiet while we stopped to say hi to Mr. Lincoln.
Where or where did president Lincoln go?

nope not that way.
yes there he is
I'm glad that I didn't have anything in my teeth.
A freak thing happened. We were walking along then someone pointed over in the grass and said what is that. Then it jumped out and ran across the sidewalk by us. So me being who I am I said wait Matt, grabbed my camera and took a picture. It's a black squirrel, weird huh!
Here is the Washington Monument.
